DC Metro and Bus App revisa

The app doesn't load any metro stations. Search function doesn't work, the whole app seems like endless apps with absolutely zero usable info. Repeated "free trail offers", so maybe with a paid subscription it might work but I'm absolutely not giving them a dime for this.

when you check on your train station, it shows you the next train is arriving, but not which direction it’s going. Like WHAT IS THE POINT

I have to delete this app almost monthly because the times stop showing at the station, the colors of the station names are the wrong one or nothing shows up at all when I click into the stations. If the glitches were fixed, I would have zero complaints.

If you want to do anything on this app, you have to watch a 10-second video ad that interrupts your music. Total pain in the butt if you’re trying to commute, and trying to figure out a new route is so stressful.

This app is overwhelmed with ads, making it frustrating to use. Every time you click to check the bus or metro schedule, you’re forced to watch an ad—not just once when opening the app, but every single time you click. This completely defeats the purpose of quickly checking schedules while on the go. Once you get past the ads, the app works fine, but the constant interruptions make it inconvenient

Why are there so many ads on this? I can’t check my bus time without watching at least 3 minutes of ads. This is ridiculous.

Ads are relentless and non-stop, frequently delaying ability to see bus times. I would prefer to pay for something without ads than this

When you’re scrolling down the list of stops for the metro, you’ll see a big green “START” button on the bottom of the page. THIS IS A SCAM! It’s an ad that’s not part of the app that takes you to a third party website, which asks for your credit card information to create an account. But it’s not a metro account, it’s a third party account which charges you for nothing whatsoever. DONT CLICK THE START BUTTON AT THE BOTTOM!!

The app is great minus the ads that pop up nearly every time you click on something.

This is the most annoying app. It will randomly block the view of the map with an ad. To this day I have no idea what any of the ads are for because I simply focus on waiting to the “continue to app” button. Who actually pays attention to ads? They are a waste of time and annoying.

I used to depend on this app but it became too frustrating to use when I needed bus information ASAP. The constant ads popping up instead of bus times made it wasteful, I advise switching to a better app if you want to be treated like a bus user and not a shopping customer!

This app works if you want to pay for it. But also… the internet. This app’s payed feature is harder to turn off than candycrush. Nope.

Every 20 seconds the app goes to some of the most obnoxious adds you could imagine. Almost unusable.

I find this app barely usable. It takes too many clicks to find or do anything. This is intentional because there’s an ad covering the screen every 3rd or so click. Each ad layout is different and there’s not always clear way to close them. The app is way worse than the website. At least that shows you where the buses are and how crowded they are.

This is absolutely horrid. This app, which tracks a publicly funded service for the public that already funds it, is, as of this update, absolutely SMOTHERED in add space. Time gates adds. On top of that it shows no real time information after I’ve been forced to watch a Robinhood video. OF COURSE, you can pay for a SUBSCRIPTION to access this publicly funded amenity. (Though it isn’t even working with the ads) If this were France, there would be trash can fires outside city hall over this. I suggest informing any involved public official involved they have thrown your vote away. This app now represents the worst DC has to offer its citizens.

Loved Ty’s app before I got a new phone. Some features are not compatible. The only way to check for a bus is to select ‘Nearby’, then choose from map. All other options no longer work.

wayyyy too many adds and so difficult and annoying to use for no reason. i recommend the dc metro app the app is orange and just so much better to use i hate this app

Pop up ads take over the screen of this so whether I am connected or not connected to wi-fi. When I am in a rush to find a bus that is a MAJOR inconvenience. This is the wrong ap to flood with ads.

Non user friendly interface which requires users to sift through ads in order to get to the critical information they need. As a daily commuter it was a sad day when apps such as this pushed out the likes of the “Metro Hero” App. “DC Metro and Bus” app provides limited live commuter information which does not include live geographical status on Metro/bus. Better off with live WMATA updates on social media, and Google searches to determine best routes for public transport.

I take Metrobus 38B round trip Arlington /DC. Its route through Georgetown & GWU has many visitors from out of town including those seeking medical evaluation. The bus drivers are uniformly knowledgeable, helpful & efficient. Their patience with people who are overwhelmed by the traffic, schedules of different transportation options is above what I have observed in many cities in US & abroad. My 1st difficulty in more than a decade using Metro bus & train was last evening (Wed 11/12) at 8 pm. I went into Clarendon Metro station to check on time it opened since I had an appointment at 7:15 am & Metro website says individual stations may have different opening & closing times. The kiosk had a msg card stating the Metro station attendant was away & would retuned shortly. I waited for 45 min. & finally returned home & took my chances with the am train. It worked out OK in spite of a separate incident leading to Metro police arriving & train stopped for almost 10 min. Staff were so calm during entire incident. Metro & ARL do a great job. Thank you!

I’ve been using this app for years and one or two ads sometimes three never really bothered me but over the past year it has gotten so much worse and the accuracy has diminished significantly also I can’t save any stop locations to favorite.

All metro info has stopped loading for the last several months

This app has a “start” prompt that is a credit card scam

The app will work for maybe two weeks and then will just stop loading any of the train line data altogether. Even after uninstalling and reinstalling the app, the problem persists

I haven’t seen any route, bus stop nor anything in general in the last few months. Either I have to redownload or something is wrong with the app’s connection. I haven’t been able to use it lately. I hope this is a glitch but considering how long I’ve had issue with the data on the buses etc… I don’t see any resolution. 🤷🏻‍♂️

This has been the most reliable app that I’ve used to get around DC but for some reason, the route directions have not been showing for a while. I’ve emailed about this a couple of times with no response. Very disappointing especially if you consider how obstructive the ads are to the UI/UX experience. You can’t say that the product is free to use if you make it impossible for people to use it freely.

This app used to work like magic but now it has gone way down hill. The bus schedule is so inaccurate and it’s annoying and becomes a problem with trying to commute to work or take my child to school. WMATA needs to make updates to the app to give you actual real times. Today I walked 25 minutes to get home because the next bus said 38 minutes just for it to ride pass me 13 minutes into my walk.

Downloaded free version of Ap and all it did was put up ads and try to get me to sign-up for paid version. I deleted the Ap

Does not work. Opens but with location enabled while using finds no station. Search for station by name can’t launch with “enter” button

I’ve been using this app for years and have absolutely loved it. Lately when you click on stations it no longer shows the time(s) for inbound trains. No longer useful.

This app is now bunk. A shame bc it used to help me so much w my commute and i recommended it to many.

You have to buy the ad version for it work properly. It used to be you could just select the color line to get the status of the next train. That isn’t the case anymore. Now you have to manually enter the name. It’s ridiculous.

It makes perfect sense that a lousy transportation service, such as Metro, that mismanages resources would have a horrible app. Bravo and please keep your perfect record of lousy service intact for many more years. You are batting a thousand at being horrible- so amazing at being bad.

This app provides no utility. The bus map feature does not work. The “updates” are not synched to anything. And the advertisements hinder usage.

App required “free” account and then charged me 39.95.

Can’t understand how to log in to my account. All I get are ads for something but not sure for what.
